Marion-Sterling Elementary is a Pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school in Cleveland, Ohio. As part of the Cleveland Municipal School District, it has been plagued by lack of funding for quite some time, and the school library in particular had fallen into a state of disrepair. In response, a movement was organized to remodel the library's interiors and rejuvenate the facility.

As part of this effort, HBM provided design and planning services to the school free of charge. In addition, many Cleveland-area residents and organizations donated time, supplies, and money to make this project a reality. HBM joins local citizens in hoping that the Marion-Sterling Library project will provide a foundation for future transformation in Cleveland’s challenged urban neighborhoods.
