The expansion and renovation of the Dalton Branch more than doubles the size of the existing branch with a focus on public use which is greatly needed in serving this rural community.

A new front porch creates a more welcoming entry while keeping with the scale of the existing building. Some of the new amenities this expansion provides are: an adult reading room with added seating, a children’s room with natural light, an interactive early literacy play area, teen center, technology center, material displays to increase circulation, and accessible public restrooms.

Additional windows add much needed natural light into the building and more seating options combined with a new, flexible community room and an after-hours entry provide more opportunities for library use.
