The Rawlings Main Library of Pueblo City-County Library District offers a five-story facility designed to capture stunning views of the Arkansas Valley and nearby mountains. A south-facing courtyard greets visitors, featuring fruit trees and a reflective pool that honor Pueblo’s agricultural roots. With renovated interiors, expanded community spaces, and cutting-edge technology, this library fosters a flexible, multi-generational environment for learning, creativity, and gathering.

    FIVE-STORY DESIGN
    Maximizes views of the Arkansas Valley, Pikes Peak, and surrounding mountain ranges.

    COURTYARD ENTRY
    South-facing courtyard with fruit trees and a reflective pool symbolizing Pueblo’s agrarian heritage.

    EXPANDED PARKING
    Extension of parking lot and addition of 18 new spaces, plus an outdoor event space with an amphitheater.

    LEVEL 1 ENHANCEMENTS
    Includes a public discovery area, expanded Café, Makerspace, Rotating Exhibit space, and multiple meeting rooms.

    FAMILY LIBRARY ON LEVEL 2
    Combines the Children’s Library with adult fiction, nonfiction, Teen Library, and Hispanic Resource Center for multi-generational learning.

    TECHNOLOGY CORE
    State-of-the-art multimedia resources on Levels 2 and 3, plus expanded Archives and Genealogy Collections on Level 3.

    EVENT SPACE
    Level 4 features a multipurpose event space for 220 guests with panoramic views of the city.
