Project Architect:

Location - Cleveland, OH 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience

  • Architectural license preferred

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture (accredited degree program required)

  • The ideal candidate will have relevant built work experience

  • Strong technical project detailing and documentation skills

  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, Sketch-up Adobe Suites, and Microsoft Office Suites

  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently

  • Ability to create concept designs

  • Proficiency in documenting all phases of the design process

  • Construction administration experience is preferred

  • Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional client service orientation and relationship building skills

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Work closely with the project principal, project designer and project manager in each phase of the project delivery process

  • Responsible for leading a project team through the coordination and delivery of project detailing and documentation. Oversee work of junior and intern architects

  • Responsible for coordination of engineering and other consultants

  • Contribute to all aspects and phases of the architectural design process

  • Assist in creating project schedules and budgets

  • Attend project meetings

  • Maintain and organize project files

  • Travel to and from project and client meetings as required

  • May also include national travel

Construction Administrator: 

Location - Cleveland, OH or Remote

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction services, administrative support, contract administration, or construction project management and a firm grasp of construction industry best practices is crucial

  • Understanding of the construction industry and processes are beneficial- including codes, AIA documentation, and safety regulations

  • Basic accounting, bookkeeping, and math skills are desired

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and project or construction management software

  • Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills are valuable

  • Assist HBM’s project teams with the construction administration scope of work on public projects across the country. This position will require the candidate to travel within the continental United States. 

  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of optimizing processes for Construction Administration 

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required – some college highly preferred

 

Tasks 

  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) 

  • Issue Architect’s Supplemental Instructions (ASI) 

  • Process shop drawings and submittals 

  • Process Change Orders 

  • Review and certify contractor’s application for payment 

  • Review material test reports 

  • Record changes to the contract documents 

  • Provide substantial and final completion services
