The project consists of renovation of an existing space within the Kelley Middle School. State-of-the-art equipment was installed to create a TV set / studio capable of recording multi-faceted video and audio events. Adjacent to the studio is a Media Education room outfitted with six editing labs, dubbing stations, audio booth, and closets immediately available for storage of video / audio equipment. From this room, connection to a mobile production truck is possible. This mobile production truck will make it possible for students to travel to locations for remote broadcasts and to cover sporting events.

Another feature of this broadcast studio is that the students will have the ability create and engineer their school’s Educational Access Channel. These channels are used by universities and school districts for educational programming. Programming for the channel ranges from board meetings to special speakers to sporting events. HBM provided full services for the project including feasibility study, planning, and comprehensive architectural and interior design services.
