Emily’s experience before coming to HBM in art, nonprofits, construction, and architecture helps her see her role as project architect as more than keeping the team coordinated and moving toward a common goal. Every design project is also an exercise in listening, community building, and professional growth – all in support of great design that helps our clients go above and beyond in what they do in their buildings. On each project, Emily ensures that the details, big and small, are carried through for the client by maintaining clear communication with all the design team members. Sometimes expansive, out-there thinking is required, and occasionally pragmatic, practical answers are what is needed. Emily works to provide both while working alongside our clients.
