TUDOR HOUSE

GILMOUR ACADEMY

The Tudor House, completed in 1924, is a grand manor that served as the prototype for Stan Hywet Hall, the Seiberling Estate in Akron, Ohio.

This magnificent building and formal garden was sensitively restored to maintain it’s original character. Masonry was re-pointed, 16th century stained glass restored and rare chestnut trim was reconstituted. The original supplier was located and missing or damaged roof slates, weighing over 250 pounds each, were replaced for an exact match to the existing.
